Court holidays 2026
Court holidays 2026: every High Court and the Supreme Court, from the courts' own calendars
A holiday in Delhi is not a holiday in Gurugram. These are the 27 calendars Pundora reads for 2026, one page each, every one transcribed from the court's own published calendar and linked to it. Courts that could not be read are listed below with the reason, never guessed.
Is my court open?
The calendars
Not loaded, and why
A court with no calendar here has no holidays in Pundora. Nothing is invented to fill a gap; the gap is stated.
| Court | Why |
|---|---|
| Karnataka High Court | the court's website could not be reached when the calendars were read |
| Madras High Court | no official copy of the 2026 calendar was found on the court's site |
| Sikkim High Court | the file on the court's site is its 2023 list |
| Meghalaya High Court | the published picture was too garbled to read with confidence |
| Telangana High Court | optional holidays could not be told apart from closed days |
| Gauhati High Court, principal seat | not yet transcribed |
| Tripura High Court | published only as a picture; not yet transcribed |
| Kerala High Court vacations; Punjab and Haryana High Court vacations | the holiday lists are loaded, the vacation dates are not |
| District courts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand (High Court list); Rajasthan civil courts | the separate district lists are not yet loaded; matters there fall back to the High Court's calendar |
How these were made
Each calendar was fetched from the court's own website on the date shown on its page, its text extracted word for word, and every printed date checked against the weekday the court printed. Eight courts publish their calendars only as pictures; those were read by Pundora's own page reader, a machine it runs itself, and transcribed by hand from the words it returned. Where a court publishes a separate list for its district judiciary, that list is its own calendar here. The same data drives Pundora: a matter's court picks its calendar, and the deadline arithmetic, the previous-evening WhatsApp digest and the holiday notice all read it.
Questions advocates ask
Which calendar does a Gurugram matter follow?
The district courts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, not Delhi's. Gurugram sits in Haryana, so a holiday in the Delhi courts says nothing about whether the Gurugram court is open.
Do district courts follow the High Court's holidays?
Only where the High Court has not published a separate list for the district judiciary. Where it has, the district list is a separate calendar here.
Why is my court missing?
Because its 2026 calendar could not be read from an official source when these were made. The table above says why, court by court. Nothing is guessed; when the court's own list can be read, it is added and dated.
Can I subscribe instead of downloading?
Each court's .ics file can be opened in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook; opening it adds the closed days to your own calendar. The file carries the court's notification as the source of every entry.
